The Metropolitan Police Department (MPD) announced an investigation into an officer-involved shooting on Jan 13 in the 300 block of Florida Avenue, Northeast. During the incident, suspect Derrick Williams, 45, fired at officers, injuring three, before being fatally shot. The officers' injuries are non-life-threatening, with two released from the hospital and one still hospitalized.
