The Metropolitan Police Department (MPD) announced the arrest of Christopher Baker, 25, of Northeast, DC, for multiple armed robberies of businesses in the Fifth District. On Jan. 10, Baker attempted a robbery in the 1500 block of Rhode Island Avenue, NE, but fled when employees did not comply. He was quickly apprehended and charged with Assault with Intent to Commit Robbery while Armed, along with additional charges for similar robberies on Jan 1, 2, 3, and 9 in Northeast.
