The Metropolitan Police Department (MPD) announced the arrest of 22-year-old Dawayne Smith in connection with a fatal shooting on Oct. 23 on the 2300 block of Pennsylvania Avenue, Southeast. The incident resulted in the death of 44-year-old Antonio Kojesus Riley and left one surviving victim with critical injuries. Smith has been charged with First-Degree Murder while Armed.
