The Metropolitan Police Department (MPD) announced an update on the investigation into the death of 17-year-old Nyair Raymond, who was found deceased in the Anacostia River in March. Raymond had been reported missing since Jan. 17 after evading police during a traffic stop involving a stolen vehicle. His body was discovered on March 7 and later identified by the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner. The case remains an active death investigation as authorities work to determine the cause and manner of his death.
