The Metropolitan Police Department (MPD) announced the arrest of two juveniles involved in a carjacking incident on Jan 1 in Southeast Washington, D.C. The suspects, a 14-year-old female and a 17-year-old male, allegedly rear-ended a victim’s vehicle on Massachusetts Avenue, Southeast, and fled with it. They were apprehended after crashing the stolen vehicle into a building on Martin Luther King Jr. Avenue, Southeast. Both face charges including Unarmed Carjacking and Unauthorized Use of a Vehicle, with the male also charged as a Fugitive from Justice.
