Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department (MPD) seek the public’s assistance in locating a person of interest in connection to an assault with a dangerous weapon offense that occurred on Nov. 13.
Around 11:00 pm, the suspect and victim were engaged in a verbal altercation on the 800 block of Jefferson Street, NE. The suspect brandished a handgun, shot the victim and fled the scene. The victim was treated for non-life threatening injuries.
The person of interest was captured by a nearby camera and can be seen in the photos below:
