Document: Police Arrest Juveniles for Multiple Robbery and Carjacking Offenses

Officers from the Metropolitan Police Department arrested two juveniles for multiple robbery and carjacking offenses on May 27.

According to a press release, the juveniles are allegedly connected to an armed carjacking offense on May 25. The suspects also approached two victims who were sitting in a vehicle on the 4900 block of North Capitol Street, NE. The suspects threatened the victims with a gun and took the vehicle.

The older juvenile was also arrested for robbery offenses that occurred on the 1500 block of Upshur Street, NW on May 25, on the 100 block of Franklin Street, NE on May 18, and on 1700 block of Park Road, NW and the 1300 block of Newton Street, NE on April 6.

The juvenile is also connected to an armed robbery offense on the 100 block of Franklin Street, NE on May 18.

On May 18, both juvenile suspects are also allegedly connected to an assault with the intent to rob incident that occurred on May 18 on the 4600 block of Arkansas Avenue, NW. One of the juveniles allegedly threatened a victim with a handgun, assaulted the victim and attempted to take the victim’s property.

The younger juvenile was also arrested for another assault with the intent to rob offense that took place on the 2800 block of 8th Street, NE on May 17. According to the release, the juvenile suspects approached and assaulted a victim with a bat. The case remains under investigation.
