Document: Police Arrest Suspect in Unarmed Bank Robbery

Officers with the Metropolitan Police Department arrested a suspect on for robbing a bank.

The suspect entered a Wells Fargo Bank on the 1300 block of New York Avenue, NW on May 19. The suspect demanded through threats of physical harm that the bank teller give him cash and then fled the scene. Shortly after leaving the bank, the suspect was apprehended by responding officers.

Court documents state that the suspect took $700 from the bank.

The suspect is being charged with robbery and scheduled for a hearing on July 22.
