Document: Police Arrest Suspects for Shooting in Northeast, DC

Officers from the Metropolitan Police Department are still investigation a case after arresting two suspects connected to an incident in which shots were fired on the 1200 block of Simms Place, NE.

According to a press release, a 23-year-old resident of Fort Washington, Md., was arrested June 12 on on charges including assault with a dangerous weapon (gun), carrying a pistol without a license, destruction of property, unlawful discharge of a firearm and possession of an unregistered firearm.

Police also arrested another suspect, a 25-year-old resident of Northeast, DC, on carrying a pistol without a license charge.

There were no reported injuries from the incident, the release states.

The police are asking that anyone with information all them at 202-727-9099. Tips can also be sent to the department’s Text Tip Line — 50411. A reward of up to $10,000 is being offered for information that leads to an arrest and conviction in any violent crime case in DC.
