The Metropolitan Police Department is investigating a homicide that occurred on the 100 block of Sheridan Street, NE on May 27.
According to a press release, officers found 39-year-old Bret Desmarteau, a resident from Baltimore, Md., suffering gunshot wounds. The victim was pronounced dead at a local hospital.
