On Nov. 15, the Metropolitan Police Department (MPD) arrested a suspect in connection with a fatal stabbing that occurred that day.
At around 7:07 p.m., officers responded to the 3100 block of 16th Street, NW.
There, they found an adult male, in front of the location, suffering from multiple stab wounds. He was pronounced dead at a local hospital. His identity is being withheld pending next of kin notification.
Police arrested 49 year-old Dedan Williams for second-degree murder while armed. He has prior arrests including assault on a police officer, simple assault, shoplifting, distribution of cocaine and drinking in public.
