A suspect was arrested in connection with a homicide that happened in the Kingman Park neighborhood of DC.
At around 10:44 a.m. on Nov. 6, officers responded to the 1700 block of Gales Street, NE for the report of a shooting.
There, they found 41 year-old Demetrius Jones suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. He died at a local hospital.
On Nov. 11, 40 year-old Ronnie Melson, of no fixed address, was arrested for first-degree murder while armed.
Melson has an arrest history that includes threats, probation violations, assaults, possession with intent to distribute cocaine and heroin, distribution of distribute cocaine and heroin, carrying a pistol without a license and unauthorized use of a vehicle.
