The Metropolitan Police Department (MPD) has made an arrest in relation to a May 14 homicide.
At approximately 9:29 p.m. police reported to the 400 block of 2nd Street, NW, due to a report of a shooting. Police located 27-year-old Leonard Turner and transported him to a local hospital due to gunshot wounds. He later succumbed to his injuries, according to the press release.
On Aug. 16 police arrested 28-year-old William Davenport and charged him with first-degree murder while armed, according to the press release.
