Document: Suspect, Vehicle of Interest Sought in Bank Robberies

Metropolitan Police Department (MPD) detectives seek the public’s assistance identifying and locating a suspect and a vehicle of interest in connection with bank robberies.

All three offenses occurred on Sept. 29.

At around 12:18 p.m., a suspect entered the Wells Fargo Bank in the 3200 block of Pennsylvania Avenue, SE. The suspect passed a note demanding money. However, he was unsuccessful. The suspect then fled the scene without obtaining anything.

At around 1:14 p.m., the suspect entered the Wells Fargo Bank in the 600 block of H Street, NE. Again, the suspect passed a note demanding money. The teller complied. The victim then fled.

At around 2:28 p.m., the suspect entered the Wells Fargo Bank in the 1900 block of 14th Street, NW. The suspect passed a note demanding money to the teller, who complied. The suspect then fled the scene.

 The vehicle of interest is described as a newer model gray Tesla. The suspect were captured by a surveillance camera.
