Metropolitan Police Department detectives are asking for the public’s help in locating a suspect in a homicide that occurred on Dec. 17, on the 2400 block of 18th Street, NW.
According to a press release, at about 1:20 am, officers located 30-year-old Avon Perkins and an adult female suffering from apparent gunshot wounds. Avon Perkins was pronounced dead at the scene.
The adult female was transported to a local hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.
