Dwayne Hilton was sentenced to 61 and a half years for the 2011 murder of 18-year-old Mico Briscoe.

Briscoe was fatally shot on Nov. 26, 2011, in the 1200 block of Mount Olivet Road, NE. Briscoe along with four others were shot at outside of a Circle 7 convenience store in Trinidad. According to an article written by The Washington Post, Hilton and an accomplice followed Briscoe and his friend outside of the store and shot at the group 19 times. The other person who was shot survived. In February 2013, Hilton was arrested and charged for first-degree-murder while armed.

In 2016, he was found guilty for the murder charge, assault with intent to kill, and other firearm offenses. He was sentenced on Friday for the murder.
