Police are investigating the homicide of a 44-year-old Maryland man on Monday.
According to police responding to a report of an aggravated assault, Eric Lee Smith, 44, died from stab wounds Monday. Smith was found on the 800 block of H Street, NE, and was taken to a hospital where he was pronounced dead.
