A murder defendant was unable to appear in court for a Sept. 20 status hearing because he is in quarantine at DC Jail.

Brandon Wiggins, 23, is charged with first-degree murder while armed for allegedly shooting Damon Bell, 43, and Donald Lewis, 25, on the 1600 block of West Virginia Avenue, NE, on June 14 2019, and the 1700 block of West Virginia Avenue, NE on Dec. 18, 2018, respectively.
