A judge denied a murder defendants request for release on May 20.
Eldred Watts is charged with first-degree murder while armed for his alleged involvement in the shooting 33-year-old Zenus Epps on the 3500 block of A Street, SE on March 25.
Judge Todd Edelman on behalf of Judge Neal Kravitz denied Watts’ request for release due to the COVID-19 pandemic was denied for the second time.
Judge Michael O’Keefe denied the defendant’s release on May 14.
Judge Kravitz also ordered that the Watts be examined by a doctor by May 22 and file a document explaining the course of treatment for his medical conditions.
It was not disclosed if Watts tested positive for COVID-19.
A felony status conference is scheduled for June 24
