A DC Superior Court judge rescheduled a murder defendant’s hearing for April.

Duan Garmany, 22, is charged with first-degree murder while armed in the death of 28-year-old Christopher Payne, who was fatally shot  June 30 on the 1400 block of W Street, NW.

Malik Coles, 24, is also charged alongside Garmany in this case; however, his case was not heard today.

During the Nov. 12 hearing, parties said they thought today’s hearing would be vacated. Defense Attorney Dominique Winters said her client has an arraignment hearing scheduled for Nov. 19 in this case.
