A DC Superior Court judge scheduled a hearing to determine if a murder case has enough evidence to go to trial.
Malachi McFarland is charged with first-degree murder while armed in the shooting of 29-year-old Kerry Odoms on April 15, on the 3300 block of 10th Place, SE.
Judge Yvonne Williams scheduled the preliminary hearing for Sept. 20.
McFarland, 21, is currently being held at DC Jail.
