Judge Schedules Preliminary Hearing for Murder Case

On Aug. 30, a DC Superior Court judge scheduled a hearing to determine if a murder case has enough evidence to go to trial. 

Amard Jefferson is charged with second-degree murder while armed for allegedly shooting 20-year-old Kendall Brown on the 3000 block of Nelson Place, SE, on Aug. 7 .

Jefferson, 22, was arrested the next day.

Judge Neal Kravitz scheduled the preliminary hearing for Sept. 16.
