A DC Superior Court judge sentenced a sex abuse defendant after he made a plea deal with the prosecution.
Demitrious Harriott was initially charged with first-degree sexual abuse and robbery in September 2020, and had been held at DC Jail since then.
During the March 29 hearing, he pleaded down to charges of misdemeanor sexual abuse and second-degree theft.
Judge Marisa Demeo sentenced Harriot, 31, to time served. He will also have to pay $50 to the Victims of Violent Crime (VVC) fund for each charge.
