DC Superior Court Judge Todd Edelman set a murder case for a preliminary hearing on July 9.
Phillip Humphrey is charged with second-degree murder in the death of Cornell Mason, a 33-year-old resident of Northeast DC. Humphrey allegedly stabbed Mason on the 4000 block of Clay Place, NE on April 10.
On June 13, Judge Rainey Brandt found probable cause in the case. Humphrey is being held without bail.
