During his first appearance in DC Court for the murder of a 28-year-old woman in Northeast, DC, a judge upheld a defendant’s murder charge.
Diantre Smith is charged with first-degree murder while armed for allegedly shooting 28-year-old Nyesha Lenea Galloway on the 400 block of 42nd Street, NE on Dec. 20, 2019.
DC Superior Court Judge Juliet McKenna will take over the case for a preliminary hearing that is scheduled to occur on Fev. 21.
