Matthew Moore, 32, is currently being held without bond after his presentment in court Tuesday afternoon.

Moore currently faces second-degree murder charges in the death of 22-year-old Ronnell Reaves.

Judge Sean Staples called for Moore’s detainment based on Moore’s criminal history and the potential threat Moore serves to the community.

Moore allegedly shot and killed Reaves three weeks ago on the 600 block of 14th Pl., NE. According to police, upon their arrival Reaves and another man were found suffering from gunshot wounds. Reaves was pronounced dead on the scene.

Moore is expected in court for a preliminary hearing on February 17.
