Police have charged 20-year-old Brandon Byrd with the murder of his father, Otis Byrd.
Otis Byrd was stabbed in the parking garage by the Children’s Medical Center last Wednesday. A short time later, police arrested and charged his son with second-degree murder while armed.
Brandon Byrd is being held without bail and is due back in court on Sept. 26 at 9:30 a.m.
