Surveillance Video Leads to Arrest of Suspects in Eckington Shooting; Four Handguns Recovered

The Metropolitan Police Department (MPD) announced the arrest of two suspects in connection with a non-contact shooting in the Eckington neighborhood on Feb. 27. Surveillance video revealed multiple suspects firing at a passing vehicle, leading to the arrest of a 16-year-old male and 18-year-old Andre Chillous. Both were charged with multiple offenses, including Assault with a Dangerous Weapon and Unlawful Possession of a Machine Gun, after officers recovered four handguns, one modified with an auto sear switch.
