Beatriz Canals is a senior at Georgetown University, and she is originally from San Juan, Puerto Rico. She is majoring in Women’s and Gender Studies, as well as minoring in Government and History. As an aspiring law student, Beatriz is looking forward to learning more about domestic violence and sexual assault cases in the D.C. court system during her time at D.C. Witness.
