Caitlyn O’Neil is 27 and enrolled in the Justice, Law, and Criminology program at American University. She has yet to choose a focus but is interested in prison reform and human trafficking. Caitlyn taught EFL in South Korea for two and a half years, before deciding to apply to graduate school. The D.C. Witness internship will expose her to the court systems and give her an experience she can utilize in her next career. She hopes to work for the Department of Justice in some capacity. She is also passionate about justice and helping people. Ultimately, she wants to uplift the voices that often go unheard and inspire strength in those that are unsure of their own capabilities.
