Mia Febles is a student at Dominican University.
Driven by her ambition to become an attorney, Mia knew an internship at D.C. Witness would be
a great opportunity to get her foot in the door of America’s legal system.
She intends to go to law school after completing her bachelor’s degree, and she believe this internship will help solidify
her decision.
She appreciates that D.C. Witness offers a platform where she can engage first-hand with the criminal justice system. She wanted an internship that consisted of hands-on learning, which is exactly what D.C. Witness entails.
She looks forward to deepening her legal insight, polish her journalism and writing skills, and network. This role as an intern for D.C. Witness will allow her to gain invaluable experience surrounding crime, data, and trends in Washington D.C, as
well as apply new knowledge to her future career.
