Namita Nair is a rising senior at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. She is majoring in Political Science and Legal Studies, and minoring in History, Gender Women Studies, African American Studies, Criminal Justice. Namita chose to be an intern at DC Witness as she believes that the role of journalism is to offer transparency to the public while holding the criminal justice system accountable and encourage more equity within the law.
