The Metropolitan Police Department (MPD) announced an investigation into a fatal shooting on Feb. 24 on the 1600 block of Benning Road, Northeast. The victim, identified as 48-year-old Larry Evans of Northwest, DC, was found with a gunshot wound and pronounced dead at the scene. Surveillance footage captured a suspect fleeing in a light-colored sedan.
