In total there were seven defendants that had cases. None of the cases were in relation to the COVID-19 pandemic or bond review hearings.
All but one defendant had charges stemming from domestic violence.
Tyrell Washington, who is charged with being a fugitive from justice was extradited out of the District.
A hearing for co-defendants, Anthony Ellis and Alonzo Coleman, was rescheduled to August.
A judge vacated Anthony Newman’s deferred sentencing review. Instead, his case will proceed with another review in July. Newman pleaded guilty to simple assault in a domestic violence case.
Two non-jury trials and one hearing were not called or rescheduled.
Between April 1 and May 15, 27 domestic violence related cases were scheduled for hearings.
