A DC Superior Court judge ordered that a defendant be able to have daily phone calls with his attorney on May 21.
David Randolph Jr. is charged with second-degree burglary.
Judge Juliet McKenna ordered that Randolph be able to speak with his attorney, Amy Phillips, for 30 minutes a day after Phillips said she had not spoken with or met with her client confidentially.
Phillips also requested a preliminary hearing which was granted.
The preliminary hearing is scheduled for June 3.
