An arrest was made in the deadly invasion of an apartment on the 400 block of M Street, NW, last week.
According to police, 37-year-old Matthew Shevlin was found with gunshot wounds in an apartment on Jan. 22 and died at the hospital. Police charged 18-year-old David Davalier Harvey with first-degree felony murder while armed at the scene of the crime.
Dustin Sternbeck, a D.C. police spokesman told the Washington Post, the shooting did not appear to be a random act of violence and instead was a “home-invasion burglary of a targeted residence.”
