On May 20, judges at the DC Superior Courthouse released one inmate.
There were three hearings that were in relation to emergency releases because of COVID-19.
A judge ordered the Office of the Attorney General of DC to turn over Christen Wingfield’s medical record to his attorney. Wingfield is charged with unlawful possession of a firearm with a prior conviction and possession of a large capacity ammunition feeding device.
David Penn was sentenced to serve 16 months in jail but was given credit for the time he had already served which resulted in his release. He will serve three years on supervised release. Penn pleaded guilty to unauthorized use of a vehicle.
Seven hearings were rescheduled.
Three bench warrants were issues for defendants.
Two status hearings were rescheduled.
One non-jury trial was also rescheduled.
Judges denied one release.
