Metropolan Police Department (MPD) detectives are investigating a homicide that occurred on Aug. 23.
At approximately 8:20 p.m. police responded to the Unit Block of Danbury Street, SW, due to sounds of gunshots. Upon arrival, police located 23-year-old Nickael Dempsey with gunshot wounds and transported him to a local hospital. He later succumbed to his injuries, according to the press release.
