The Metropolitan Police Department arrested May 30 a juvenile suspect connected to the homicide of Jaylyn Wheeler.
Daquan Gray is charged with first-degree murder while armed for allegedly shooting Wheeler, 15, on the 600 Block of Alabama Avenue, SE on May 16.
Gray, 16, was apprehended one day after the police released a notice requesting the public’s assistance to locate him.
According to D.C. Witness data, there have been 10 juvenile homicides so far this year in the District.
