Metropolitan Police Department detectives are investigating a traffic fatality that occurred on Nov. 24, at the intersection of 58th Street and East Capitol Street, NE.
According to a press release, at about 4:06 am, a white vehicle was traveling westbound on East Capitol Street, NE, when they struck 42-year-old Darryl Leak who had fallen into the crosswalk. The white vehicle then left the scene.
Darryl Leak was pronounced dead at a local hospital.
