Metropolan Police Department (MPD) detectives are investigating a homicide that occurred on Sept. 5.
At approximately 7:05 p.m. police were near the 600 block of Morton Street, NW, when they heard gunshots. Police located 31-year-old Delontae Kelly with a gunshot wound and pronounced him dead on scene, according to the press release.
