A judge re-sentenced a defendant on April 30.
Rezeine Musa was found guilty of simple assault, assault with a dangerous weapon, assault with significant bodily injury while armed with a sharp object, tampering with physical evidence and unlawful possession of contraband into penal institution.
Musa was initially sentenced to serve 5 and a half years on April 20, 2018. Judge Danya Dayson re-sentenced Musa sentencing him to serve 180 days with credit for time served, resulting in his release.
Musa filed for a reduction in his sentence and release because of the COVID-19 pandemic on April 16.
