Metropolitan Police Department detectives made an arrest in connection to a homicide that occurred on Dec. 3, 2021, on the 1700 block of Capitol Avenue, NE.
According to a press release, at about 3:42 pm, officers located 17-year-old Larelle Washington suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. He was pronounced dead three days later at a local hospital.
On Dec. 30, an 18-year-old male who was a juvenile at the time of the offense, was arrested and charged with felony murder.
Metropolitan Police Department detectives made an arrest in connection to a homicide that occurred on June 22, on the 2800 block of Alabama Avenue, SE.
According to a press release, at about 1:13 am, officers located 36-year-old Vernon Harrison suffering from apparent gunshot wounds. He was pronounced dead at a local hospital.
On Dec. 30, 39-year-old Antoine Tucker was arrested and charged with first-degree murder while armed – felony murder.

According to a press release, at about 9:26 pm, officers located two adult male victims suffering from apparent gunshot wounds. One of the victims was pronounced dead at the scene. The second victim was transported to a local hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injuries.

According to a press release, at about 2:24 am, officers located 21-year-old Jhonatan Guzman Hernandez suffering from apparent gunshot wounds. He was pronounced dead on the scene.

According to a press release, at about 4:26 pm, officers located an adult male victim suffering from a gunshot wound.
On Dec. 29, 32-year-old Richard Johnson was arrested and charged with assault with a dangerous weapon.

According to a press release, at about 3:14 am, the suspect brandished a knife and attempted to stab a victim.
William Benbow, 47, was arrested and charged with assault with a dangerous weapon.

According to a press release, at about 9:41 pm, officers located 34-year-old Rynell Bradford suffering from an apparent gunshot wounds. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Metropolitan Police Department detectives made an arrest in an assault with intent to rob while armed offense that occurred on Dec. 23, on the 4300 block of South Capitol Street, SE.
According to a press release at about 9:50 am, two suspects approached the victims at the location. One of the suspects attempted to take the victims’ property which resulted in a struggle ensuing and the suspects handgun discharging.
The suspect was struck by the gunfire.
On Dec. 23, 32-year-old Vincent Williams was arrested.
Metropolitan Police Department detectives are asking for the public’s help in locating a vehicle in connection to a non-fatal shooting that occurred on Dec. 26, on the 3400 block of 14th Street, NW.
According to a press release, at about 11:03 pm, officers responded to the location for the report of a shooting. Later that evening, an adult male victim walked into a local hospital with a non-life threatening gunshot wound.

According to a press release, at about 12:54 am, officers located 50-year-old Richard Antonio Joseph and another adult male victim suffering from apparent gunshot wounds.
Richard Antonio Joseph was pronounced dead at the scene. The other victim was transported to a local hospital for treatment for life-threatening injuries.
Metropolitan Police Department detectives made an arrest in connection to a homicide that occurred on Nov. 17, on the 1500 block of Alabama Avenue, SE.
According to a press release, at about 2:53 pm, officers located 26-year-old Khalil Jones suffering from apparent gunshot wounds. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
On Dec. 23, officers arrested 22-year-old Joshua Stephenson.
