During initial hearings on Feb. 11, DC Superior Court Judge Judith Pipe presided over 18 defendants.

Of all the defendants presented before the court, Judge Pipe held five of the defendants and released the rest.

There were no domestic violence, sex abuse or murder defendants.

In fact, until now, there has been at least one of these types of cases, if not all three, during initial hearings held in 2021.
