Police investigating two bodies found in a Capitol Hill home have determined the cause of deaths to be a murder-suicide.

According to police, 36-year-old Desiree Cooper was shot and killed by John Robinson, 37, before he killed himself in a home they shared. Multiple news reports say Robinson and Cooper were in a relationship.

Police found the two bodies in the 200 block of Tennessee Avenue, NE, on Monday afternoon. Both died from gunshot wounds, according to the Office of the Medical Examiner.
