Police Request Public’s Assistance to ID Suspects

Officers from the Metropolitan Police Department (MPD) are looking for suspects connected to nine crimes throughout Washington, DC from May 5-May 28. 

According to press releases sent by the MPD, police are searching for suspects and vehicles in connection to the following crimes:

Burglary

A suspect is being sought in connection to a burglary offense on the 1100 block of Connecticut Avenue, NW on May 5. The suspect took property from a business establishment and fled the scene. The following video shows a person of interest in the investigation.

On May 28, another suspect stole property from an occupied residence located on the 700 block of Kenyon Street, NW. The following video shows a person of interest in the investigation.


Armed Robbery

Police are looking for suspects involved in an armed robbery on the 700 block of 51st Street, NE on May 15.

On May 26, police also updated a flyer from May 20 with a video from a surveillance camera in their search for a suspect in an armed robbery with a gun offense on the 700 block of Alabama Avenue, SE. A suspect threatened a victim with a firearm and stole property.


Homicide

The police are also requesting the public’s help in locating and identifying a vehicle connected to a homicide on May 22. According to a press release, officers responded to the 3800 block of East Capitol Street, NE for a shooting. They found 18-year-old Antwuan Roach, of Southwest, DC suffering from gunshot wounds. He died on the scene.

Assault

Police notified the public that they are looking for suspects involved in an assault with intent to kill while armed with a gun offense that occurred on May 23. Officers responded to the 200 block of N Street, SW for gunshots. The victim was brought to a hospital for treatment of life threatening injuries. 

On May 26, suspects approached victims in a vehicle with a handgun on the 300 block of Division Avenue, NE. One suspect fired shots at the victims and then fled the scene. No injuries were reported, but there was damage to the vehicle. 

On May 28, officers responded to the 1800 block of 8th Street, NW to a report of gunshots. An adult male victim was found suffering from gunshot wounds and was brought to a local hospital for treatment. Officers posted a vehicle of interest in the crime.

Second-Degree Child Sex Abuse

On May 27, a juvenile black male suspect inappropriately touched a juvenile female at the 3600 Block of Hayes Street, NE. The suspect, who has a heavy build and dark skin complexion, was wearing a black t-shirt, ripped jean shorts, and black or green Nike Air Jordan shoes when he was last spotted.
