A defendant pleaded not guilty to charges stemming from a stabbing incident before DC Superior Court Judge Erik Christian on July 11.

Dontrell Harrison, 48, is charged with assault with a dangerous weapon and assault with significant bodily injury for his alleged involvement in a stabbing on April 22 on the 300 block of Livingston Terrace, SE. One individual sustained injuries during the incident.

At the hearing, Camille Wagner, Harrison’s defense attorney, alerted the court he was pleading not guilty, and asserted his right to a speedy trial. 

Parties are slated to return on Sept. 9.
