A Washington D.C. woman filed a restraining order against her ex-boyfriend two weeks before she was found shot to death, and he was charged with her murder.
Goodloe, 40, was found shot to death Saturday. Donald Hairston was charged with her murder shortly after.
According to court documents, Goodloe filed for a temporary restraining order against Hairston on June 4. According to what Goodloe wrote in the requesting document, Hairston repeatedly came to Goodloe’s home in the early hours of the morning and knocked on her door, yelled her name and told her to come outside. In Goodloe’s own handwriting on the restraining order request, she said her ex returned to her home multiple times in the early morning.
Goodloe wrote on the report that when she attempted to leave her home around noon that day she saw that “three tires on my vehicle had been slashed.”
Hairston was set to meet in court today to decide if the restraining order Goodloe placed against him would be permanent. The two had been romantically involved at one time and had lived together in the past, according to the restraining order request.
According to court documents, Hairston has been charged with violent crimes in the past, including assault with a deadly weapon and simple assault.
Hairston was presented in court Monday and is being held without bail.
