Alesar Harfoush is a senior at Rutgers University in New Jersey, where she is majoring in Political Science and minoring in Psychology. Alesar plans on taking a gap year after graduating to recharge before heading to Law School. Interning for D.C. Witness will allow her to identify qualities and information necessary as a future lawyer seeking to do her part to improve our criminal justice system. I am
eager to be in court and learn about the reality of hearings and trials. Becoming a lawyer and defending people’s rights is a childhood dream and this opportunity will further my understanding of the legal system and how I can best serve the interests of my clients and defend their rights as a future attorney.
