Laura Berol earned an MA from the University of Sussex as a Fulbright scholar and a PhD from Princeton University, both in English literature. As an essayist and memoirist, she is fascinated by human connectedness across all that can divide us. She writes for D.C. Witness as a contribution to understanding the experiences of others.
